EC: Briefly
describe the product or service your company provides.
AG:
Wireless Internet
Access using Wi-Fi for business travelers.
EC: What is
your role in the company? How many people in your founding team
and what are their roles?
AG:
Part of the core
executive group comprised of Luis Malagarriga, Carlos Riopedre and me
with full responsibility of the companies strategy and its execution.
The company was
conceived in the NAVES course in January-February of 2001 by Timothy
Cook, Kathleen Malaspina, Declan Cassidy and me. Chris Healy was also
part of the company in its first six months.
EC: What is the company's current
stage of development?
AG:
We are in the
phase where we have completed the deployment of our core network,
setting up the base for commercialization of the network through
partners.
EC: What do
you wish you could do over again knowing what you know now?
AG:
Many things as
there is no substitute to experience and I didn’t have the same
experience four years back. But I don’t regret anything.
EC: What do
you find the most satisfying about your life as an entrepreneur?
AG:
While there is a
lot of responsibility, I can choose, within appropriate limits, what and
how I do.
EC: What is
the hardest part of daily life as an entrepreneur?
AG:
You never
disconnect.
EC: Would you
do it all over again?
AG:
At the same point
in my life, yes.
EC: So far,
what have been the most important things you've learned?
AG:

have any words of advice for students from the IESE MBA that are
considering starting their own businesses after graduation?
AG:
Just do it! |
